The Future Rewards Those Who Press On

The future rewards those who press on. I don’t have time to feel sorry for myself. I don’t have time to complain. I’m going to press on. ~Barack Obama

It is never easy to face adversity head on and win, but those who do, set themselves apart as true leaders. The truly successful are those that persevere and learn to “roll with the punches,” so to speak. If you are unsure how to develop this skill it takes three simple steps:

Step #1 – Accept the situation for what it is (after all, it isn’t going to change)

Step #2 – Adapt your current surroundings and systems to meet the new situation

Step #3 – Take action and move forward with a positive attitude

The next time you are faced with a tough situation, try utilizing these three steps and see if you can’t rise above the situation and as Barack Obama says “press on.”
