Don’t Just Dream, Do Something!

It is wonderful to dream about the life you want to live. It is empowering to act on those dreams. By pursuing a dream you learn the benefits of perseverance and patience. You recognize the joy of accomplishment and appreciate the crush of defeat. Dreams transcend age. You are never too old to dream and never too old to pursue your dreams.

Dreams give us hope and keep us young. Remember when you were a child; all the dreams you had for your life? They gave you hope and filled you with excitement. Think about the things you dreamed about when you were young. How many of those things have you accomplished? Which dreams do you have that you have you never pursued? While there may be many factors that affect the outcome of our dreams, the single most important factor that determines whether a dream is realized or not is action. You must take action, to turn the stuff of your dreams into reality! Look at ways you could make those “maybe someday dreams” come true now. Develop new dreams. Keep the hope and excitement alive.

You will inspire others to follow their dreams when you they see you following your dreams. Having said that, beware that there are those who will try and crush your dreams; often because they have been afraid to pursue their own. For the most part, however, people want to see other people succeed. When they see others achieving their dreams, it truly motivates people to want this achievement for themselves. It may be possible for you to change the world by following your dreams; but it is certain you will change your own world.
